Business & Industry
Whether around the corner or around the world, Champaign County contributes a diverse assortment of products to key markets.
Our 60+ manufacturers make everything from gourmet food products at Robert Rothschild Farm to top-notch baking equipment at Bundy Baking Solutions. Many of our long-time manufacturers are growing thanks to the ease of doing business with local government and economic development agencies.
Our biggest business, however, is small business. Over half of all Chamber member businesses have fewer than 4 employees - and from family-owned insurance firms to quaint inns on quiet streets, they are the backbone of our community.
"Not only is everyone so welcoming of new faces but the businesses - even competitors - work so well together.”
We have nearly 21,000 individuals in our county’s workforce.
Our industrial base represents 6 of 9 critical growth industries as identified by the State of Ohio.
Champaign County is located near several major shipping corridors: within 15 miles of Interstate 70 and 25 miles of Interstate 75; we are near U.S. Routes 68 and 36 as well as numerous state routes.
